A New Name.

Collaboration with Luisa Tora.

Inspired by Andre Lorde’s biomythography, Zami A New Spelling Of My Name. “Zami,” Lorde writes, “is a Cariccou name for women who work together as friends and lovers”, an apt description for the artists and more widely for queer-identifying women. Guided by their experiences as queer, Indigenous women, artists and collaborators, Molly and Luisa liken their collaborative practice to a conversation between two Indigenous women - one Tangata Whenua, one Fijian.”
